About Us

Who are we?

We are a family business, set up in 2021 by husband and wife couple Melani and Bridie Nanai. Melani is a professional Rugby Player who has played rugby in both New Zealand and the UK, whilst Bridie has many years experience working at the coal-face in professional Rugby in New Zealand (NRL and provincial Rugby Union) and prior to this in the NHS. Bridie is the Clinic Director, holding an MSc in Sports Therapy (Distinction) as well as an MSc in Applied Exercise Science and a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (1st Class Honours). She holds membership through the Society of Sports Therapists (MSST) and is a member of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

Bridie also works as a research fellow at the University of Otago on the World Rugby ORCHID (head impact detection) study and runs our sister company, Athlete Rehab Coach which focuses on peer-to-peer education and research delivery in high performance sport settings.

What we do and why choose us?

We consider ourselves musculoskeletal specialists where all our therapies are grounded in the latest evidence based research. We work with everyone from adolescents to the elderly, individuals aspiring to improve their activity and movement function to elite, professional level athletes. We conduct virtual assessments and prescribe a range of rehabilitation exercises through the use of the latest technology to help all our patients get back to their ‘normal’.

We pride ourselves on a holistic approach to injury management. We want to work with all our patients to really understand the cause and triggers for their pain, to create a personalised treatment plan that is both achievable and effective from the outset. We show genuine interest in your movement goals and more importantly, we care. We follow up on all appointments by text or phone call to see how you are progressing and we always try to go the extra mile where possible.
